Fonts used: Monospaced 15 (showing the problem)

selecting default font (Monmospaced 11) shows the problem.

some other fonts, like 

Lucida Sans Typewriter 13 or DejaVu Sans Mono 13 do NOT have the problem.

 

Your query has at least given me the chance to find a work-around.
