Steps to reproduce:
# Add JDK 8(default) and JDK 10 to the Java Platform Manager
# Create a maven project
# Add a new Java main class to it
# Set Build - Compile : "Java Platform" to JDK 10, Sources : "Source/Binary 
Format" to 10 in project properties
# Add the following code to the main class: var test = List.of("test"); (Also 
import java.util.List; of course)
# An error appears

The error disappears after NetBeans is restarted.
