Christian Lenz commented on NETBEANS-1402:
------------------------------------------
Atm it is possible to change the laf of netbeans, but you have to restart the
IDE for the changes. If you want to change the theme for the editor, this is
possible w/o restarting the IDE.
The case is, if you have a presentation for example and the people can't read
your IDE proper, not only the editor, the whole IDE, project tab, files,
menues, etc. and you want to switch the LaF you have restart the whole IDE,
which means loading time, indexing time, etc. pp. And this is really not nice.
In VS Code, this is possible immediately while choosing the LaF to figure out,
which one is nice. I know it is electron and they to it while switching the CSS
which is very fast and easy but, in intelliJ there is also the possibility,
after clicking apply, it changes the LaF very fast and intelliJ based on Java
too. So in general this will be possible, the thing is how.
