I confirm finding by [~gholmer]. Despite the issue being marked as fixed in
12-ea+16, the problem persists, i.e., snapshot sampling hangs and does not
produce the result epected.
Product Version: Apache NetBeans IDE Dev (Build
incubator-netbeans-release-345-on-20181002)

Java: 12-ea; OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 12-ea+16
Runtime: OpenJDK Runtime Environment 12-ea+16
System: Mac OS X version 10.13.6 running on x86_64; UTF-8; en_NL (nb)
