Dave Jonesinor updated NETBEANS-2351:
-------------------------------------
Description:
I work as a writer and I am provide [professional coursework
writing|https://essaysarea.com/coursework-writing/] but, I want to change my
current job. I try to install Netbeans 8.2 Java EE, but whenever I run the
installer, it quits after it is configured. I'm trying to install it on windows
10 64-bit.
In my Windows 10 system properties → Environment Variables → System Variables,
I had previously created _JAVA_OPTIONS variable values using -Xbootclasspath /
a to add some jar files to the end of the bootstrap class path. These files are
used with some work that I do with the Oracle Publisher Publisher plugin for
Microsoft Word.
As soon as I renamed the _JAVA_OPTIONS variable to something else, my
installation of NetBeans began normally and ended without problems.
After installing NetBeans, I return the name of this variable to _JAVA_OPTIONS
and discover that the values that I have for this system variable cause
NetBeans to launch. (This does not make any sense to me, since I simply add
these files / classes to the class path, rather than rewriting.)
Despite this, I will have to go back to the drawing board for my work with the
BI Publisher plugin; but at least I can use NetBeans now!
