Josh Juneau commented on NETBEANS-2848:
---------------------------------------

I will look into this, but I do not see any blockers. I have successfully
tested and worked with JPA in a Java EE 8 web application with NetBeans 11.1
beta 4.

Thanks

> Java EE 8 persistence.xml design view is not usable

> Affects Versions: 11.1
> Environment: 11.1 beta4
> Java: OpenJDK 1.8.0_212
> System: Windows 10 version 10.0 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb)

> Priority: Major
>
> # Create Java EE 8 web project. persistence.xml file is created
> # Click on persistence.xml in Projects panel to open it. design view is
> opened
> Some features are broken
>       1. Persistence Provider lists EclipseLink (JPA 2.1). Should be 2.2,
> which is not provided by IDE by default and I could not find a way to add it
> in the library.
>       2. Include All Entity Classes is disabled. Because this value can not
> be set IDE adds entry for every New Entity in persistence.xml
