I doubt 8.2 will work with JDK 11, the point is to instead change 11.1 to work
with JDK 8, i.e., the same JDK that works well for you with 8.2.
So far the differences in the two environments (one that works well for you and
one that does not) is that the JDKs are different and that in 8.2 you have the
PHP/HMTL5 distro while in 11.1 you have the full IDE (the smaller distro we
don't have available yet though you could build it from sources, which does
take some work).
In short, what I am trying to do is to try to get these two environments to be
as similar as possible, e.g., use JDK 8 for both, to exclude as many variables
as possible.

> Very often Netbeans would start consuming high CPU resources for the job of
> Checking for external changes, which sits in suspended status. If you click
> on the cross and manually cancel that job, the CPU will keep being consumed.
> The only way to stop this is to completely close Netbeans. Upon closing, it
> will say that it is still checking for external changes.
