Scott Palmer commented on NETBEANS-3217:
----------------------------------------
A way to see the whitespace so you know when you are corrupting a file in this
way would also be good.
> Need better options for Tabs vs Spaces indenting.

> Key: NETBEANS-3217
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-3217
> Project: NetBeans
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: editor - Formatting & Indentation
> Affects Versions: 11.1
> Reporter: Scott Palmer
> Priority: Major
>
> The current situation often leads to a mix of tabs and spaces ending up in
> the same file if you switch between projects or files that don't match your
> preference setting.

> There seems to be no per-project setting or "smart" heuristic to simply adapt
> to what the file currently has.
