Matthias Bläsing commented on NETBEANS-3824: -------------------------------------------- Local History is not intended to replace "real" version control. It is great tool and what you describe might be useful feature, but it is not a critical bug. If the project is that important, please use a "real" version control. With git you can trivial do local version control (you don't need a server, you can just create a git repository in the local directory). > Local history is not migrated when file is moved > ------------------------------------------------ > > Key: NETBEANS-3824 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-3824 > Project: NetBeans > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: core > Affects Versions: 11.0, 11.2 > Reporter: Michael Vorisek > Priority: Major > > When file is moved within IDE (or move is detected outside - history can be > paired by last local history file hash), local history must be moved/be > available. > > This is very important when files are not witking VCS or they are exluded as > currently the whole history is not available when a file is moved, more > exactly a file needs to be created in the past location to access the local > history. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
