Christian Lenz commented on NETBEANS-181:
-----------------------------------------
Not only WSL is missing, also CMD. Anyway years ago I had a look and what I
tried didn't work. Lack of knowledge. I will try to look into it again. Maybe I
have more knowledge about it today. I don't know why the normal CMD was never
implemented into NetBeans.
Here is a plugin called JConsole
(http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/43202/jconsole-for-netbeans), where you can
add CMD and maybe WSL to NetBeans, but it has some bug. Here is the github
repo: https://github.com/fungl164/JConsole maybe it is a good start to look
into the code how he handled it and then we can adopt it.
> NetBeans should be aware of WSL (Ubuntu on Windows 10)

> Yeah Ubuntu on Windows is, I think still in beta but I use it for my daily
> work. At home and at work. It is really handy to setup enviroment stuff
> easily. So for this, NetBeans should be aware of installed stuff inside the
> ubuntu on windows. The path is "C:\Users\Chrizzly\AppData\Local\lxss (hidden
> folder)". So if NetBeans are aware of a cygwin installation, it should be
> treated like that too.
> And for everything else like I installed node, c/c++ stuff, php and so on.
> Would be great enhancement. I created such ticket for Terminal integration
> too, because of the Cygwin thing:
