My guess is wrong. The syncronizer is part of get().
I wonder if ...OpenProjects.get() should use the timeout method. It might not
be a fix, but it could be a workaround.
I don't know any of this code at all. Now that it/something can be pinpointed
in the html code, maybe another ping of dev?
