Eugene Beldy created NETBEANS-4876: -------------------------------------- Summary: Incorrect "Malformed format string" hint for numbers in java.text.MessageFormat Key: NETBEANS-4876 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-4876 Project: NetBeans Issue Type: Bug Components: java - Hints Reporter: Eugene Beldy
Following code produces warning "Argument 0 is not a number": {{java.math.BigDecimal bigDecimal = java.math.BigDecimal.ONE;}} {{ java.text.MessageFormat.format("\{0,number,#0.00}", bigDecimal);}} That is incorrect, because java.math.BigDecimal is a subclass of java.lang.Number. It's not limited to java.math.BigDecimal, as all non-primitive arguments produce the same warning. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
