Description:
Ever since I upgraded to Big Sur and setup Netbeans 12.3 to work on it, I've
had freezing issues. Recently, those issues have turned into major problems
since I can no longer successfully use Bitbucket git version control. I tried
to do a pull request like normal and received issues in a bug report.
Please see the attached file with the error log from Netbeans.
In case the problem has to do with Big Sur, here are the steps I took to make
Netbeans 12.3 run on Big Sur:
# Install JDK & Netbeans
# Go to Netbeans icon in Finder's Applications
# Right click again and select Show sources/content
# Find the *netbeans.conf* file in folder
Resources/NetBeans/netbeans/etc/netbeans.conf
# Find {{#netbeans_jdkhome="/path/to/jdk"}}
# Uncomment this line and change it for my path:
{{netbeans_jdkhome="/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-16.jdk/Contents/Home"}}
