Rick Yagodich commented on NETBEANS-6215: ----------------------------------------- Thanks. I downloaded and tested. And while it's an improvement, it still misbehaves. As mentioned, configuration is for Gradle 7.3, the first to support Java 17. But NB12.6-rc3 downgrades that configuration and runs Gradle 7.2, which doesn't technically support Java 17, per [https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/compatibility.html]. As such, that would technically mean that NB12.6 doesn't fully support Java 17… > Netbeans not respecting configured Gradle version > ------------------------------------------------- > > Key: NETBEANS-6215 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-6215 > Project: NetBeans > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: 12.5 > Environment: Windows 10 > Netbeans 12.5 > Java 17 > Gradle version cofigured (in Tools > Options > Java > Gradle > Execution > > Gradle Distribution > Use Standard Gradle Version) to 7.3 > Reporter: Rick Yagodich > Priority: Major > Fix For: 12.6 > > > Loading a basic Java 17 Gradle-wrapped SpringBoot Project from Spring > Initilizr with no dependencies, Netbeans downloads and uses Gradle 7.0 to > attempt (and fail) to build project despite the Gradle version being > specified as 7.3.
