Niklas Matthies created NETBEANS-32:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Support renaming the project folder in Move Project
                 Key: NETBEANS-32
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-32
             Project: NetBeans
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: java - Project
    Affects Versions: 8.2
            Reporter: Niklas Matthies
            Priority: Minor

Using Move Project one can change the location of the project folder, that is,
the path up to but not including the project folder. This first led me to
believe that NetBeans is not able to rename a project folder. However, Rename
Project actually allows renaming of the project folder. It would be more
intuitive if the "location" field in Move Project would include the project
folder itself and would therefore allow to rename it as part of the move.

That would be more consistent with the usual file system commands for
moving/renaming folders, and would be more convenient in the not-so-uncommon
case that both the project location and the folder name have to be changed at
the same time.
