The new and old NetBeans website are being merged together using the repository
https://github.com/wadechandler/netbeans-static-site owned by [~wadechandler].
This is to allow a clean workup of both sites, to then export, without history,
as a statically built starting point for the new NetBeans website using SSG
building tools along with tools supported by the NetBeans IDE.
The readme there explains how the pages and site structure works. There is more
to do, and various stories/issues are being created here in Apache Jira under
the NetBeans project for that work. Consider this the parent story of that
work. Once done, the last steps will be to clean the Apache NetBeans Incubating
website repository, and then bring over the referenced repository without extra
history, to start with as clean a slate as possible to not have repository
bloat as a good lot of the old NetBeans.org site will be removed, as some of it
is not necessary.
