Mark Payne commented on NIFI-893:
---------------------------------
[~joewitt] my thinking for putting the fix version as 0.4.0 was that if disk
space runs out, it generally will require manual intervention, so at that point
I decided 0.4.0 made the most sense. You do have a point, though - if the
flowfile repo is not on its own partition, the disk space may clear up itself
via some sort of background process or what have you. It was honestly a bit of
a toss-up for me which version to use and I certainly wouldn't put out 0.4.0
without doing this ticket. I am okay moving this to 0.3.0 if you think it's
critical enough that we need it for 0.3.0.

> If the FlowFile Repository runs out of disk space, NiFi stops processing any
> data. Once space is recovered on the partition, NiFi never resumes processing
> until it is restarted. A restart appears to have recovered all data without
> issue and all appears to work as expected after restarting.
