Andre edited comment on NIFI-1461 at 2/11/16 1:55 AM:
------------------------------------------------------

Just as a note so that it is 100% clear.

While I am happy patch 0003 fixes the concerns as I originally observed by me,
I am happy with patch 0002 to go live if this is the opinion o the majority.

Creating the patches I have noticed a number of inconsistencies in the way NiFi
starts that will have to be addressed as code.

I will be raising those as separate items and linking them to this ticket as a
reference.

> RPM should create nifi user and give it access to the /opt/nifi and

> currently when installing from RPM the resulting permissions result on admins
> having to complete the installation by adding a user and correcting
> filesystem permissions.
> Ideally the RPM packages should result in installed files ready to be
> utilised as a non-root user
