Very glad you clarified #1.  Much better.

For #2 and #3 i'll state again I agree with Mike's intuition about optimal user 
experience but that I think this offers the right initial tradeoff.  We could, 
for instance, add an ActiveMQ service later which provides a more ideal user 
experience.  We could also add others if we find open source friendly ways of 
doing so.
