It would be helpful to have the metrics and information of the flow status
(https://github.com/apache/nifi-minifi/blob/master/minifi-docs/src/main/markdown/System_Admin_Guide.md#status-reporting-and-querying).
Over time, it is likely that the details of how a particular instance are
running could be utilized by the flow to make routing/processing decisions.
This functionality would be analogous to the MapCache CS
(https://nifi.apache.org/docs/nifi-docs/components/org.apache.nifi.distributed.cache.client.DistributedMapCacheClientService/index.html)
