[~jeremy.dyer] There was a new ticket created by [~randerzander] -- MINIFI-322. 
You are free to take it.  I don't think I've done more than create a skeleton. 

There are features in there that likely aren't necessary. I think you can do it 
in stages to get something out there. Reviewing MergeContent on the java side 
seems to me that features were added over a long period of time and may not be 
necessary for use cases here. We may need additional configuration options to 
keep memory lighter.
