This is a bug that was introduced in IE 10 and still exists in IE 11 today.

Paths (connections) with markers (arrow tips) are not refreshed/redrawn when 
updated. For now, we will leave as is. If we decide that we need better support 
for IE 10/11 we can re-evaluate our options. Please use Chrome or Firefox for 
best experience. I believe IE 9 should work as well.
