Joseph Witt commented on NIFI-414:
----------------------------------
Mark : Seems like you merged the commit but i just noticed on github aldrin had
done a review and had some important comments:
See here:
https://github.com/apache/incubator-nifi/pull/34
Aldrin/Mark: Can you sync on that?
I have NIFI-418 from Brian ready to roll but i have not tested plain SMTP.
Don't have an open servers to test with that I know of. Could set one up i
suppose..
> Add SMTP Username and Password Support to PutEmail Processor
> ------------------------------------------------------------

> Key: NIFI-414

> Project: Apache NiFi
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Extensions
> Reporter: James Owen
> Priority: Minor
>
> It would be beneficial to be able to supply a username and password to the
> PutEmail processor in order to be able to send emails to SMTP servers that
> require authentication (such as AWS Simple Email Service, SES). Both should
> have required = false, while the password should also have sensitive = true.
