It would provide a lot of flexibility to allow a processor to go from N to N+1
routes (i.e. failure to failure/timeout) between versions.
This would allow users to upgrade without having to change their flows.
It should provide some kind of compatibility mode, perhaps by marking the
relationship as optional or indicating that it should go down some other
existing route if it is not present.
This will likely involve additions to the GUI as well as the framework.
Additional JIRAs can be filed as that work is identified.
