Would like provide a layout to responds gracefully to different screen sizes.
This is likely a longer term effort but for now as a quick fix we can hide some
of the less important toolbar buttons as the screen gets smaller. Specifically
we should be able to accommodate a screen 1024px wide. All buttons being hidden
provide functionality that can be accomplished using the component context menu
on the canvas instead.
