Joseph Witt commented on NIFI-646:
----------------------------------

This was also requested by a user at the apache nifi md/dc/va meetup end of May
2015. A potential sub-ticket or related ticket would be to have a processor
which polls IMAP and/or POP3 and a processor which can act as an SMTP server
itself.

> Hello,
> I have use for a mime processor. The processor would except MIME (email)
> files, copy their header information into FlowFile attributes fields, and
> submit the entire file to the content repository. Much like the
> SplitProcessor, a flag could be set to parse out multi-part messages and
> their attachments so that they could be forwarded on (in conjunction with the
> original file).
