After this PR and above fix I still get error when doing netcat over cellular connection. DNS is resolved correctly but there is "polling error 12" that was not there before: [EDITED: archive trace to comment history] Nevermind, fixed this by increasing CONFIG_NET_USRSOCK_NPOLLWAITERS from 1 to 2.
