Also that STM32 NAK issue is terrible, I never found a good way around it
with the USB IP they use. I think I just ended up doing some ugly polling hack
and moved to a different processor in the next hardware. This was all 5 or so
years ago so the details are fuzzy.
I would never recommend using the STM32 USB host. So many limitations and
undocumented register bits ("documented" in the SDK and forums) that you have
to set or the hardware does not even turn on.
