casaroli opened a new pull request, #20534:
URL: https://github.com/apache/nuttx/pull/20534

   ## Summary

   POSIX declares `strcasecmp()` and `strncasecmp()` in `<strings.h>`. glibc,
musl and newlib also declare them in `<string.h>`, and some programs rely on
that: they include only `<string.h>` and get an implicit declaration on NuttX.

   With the new option `CONFIG_LIBC_STRING_STRCASECMP`, `<string.h>` also
declares the two functions. Only the prototypes are added; the BSD macros of
`<strings.h>` (`bcopy()`, `bzero()` and others) stay out of `<string.h>`.

   ## Impact

   New option, default n. Without it nothing changes.

   ## Testing

   Builds: `qemu-armv8a:knsh` with and without the option. With it, a file that
includes only `<string.h>` and calls `strncasecmp()` compiles without a warning.
