   Hello @cederom thank you for sharing the test results with me.

   Here is my test results for the very same command:

   ```
   $ gcc --version
   gcc (GCC) 16.2.1 20260810
   Copyright (C) 2026 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
   This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO
   warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
   $ gcc -O2 -frounding-math '-ffp-contract=off' -I../nuttx/libs/libm/libm
testing/libc/fmaf/test_fmaf.c -o test_fmaf -lm
   $ time ./test_fmaf
   fmaf: 4072672 cases match host libm bits and exception flags in four
rounding modes
   real 0m0.818s
   user 0m0.817s
   sys  0m0.000s
   ```

   Looking further it turns to be a FreeBSD issue for the old libm software.
FreeBSD reports `FE_INEXACT (0x20)` while it expected to be `FE_UNDERFLOW |
FE_INEXACT (0x30)`. FreeBSD fixed it here
https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=b08e6a3882b44a09fbda84dd315a431c7a585219

   Please update the libm and let me know if it works correctly for you.
