@acassis @bskdany Could you retry on current master? #20173 (merged 2026-09-18) fixed a race in the STM32H7 tickless driver where a compare value set just too late made the timer wait for a full counter wrap (~71 min at 1 MHz). Card identification polls with short delays, so it may have been that. On a NUCLEO-H753ZI with tickless on TIM2 I could reproduce such hangs with plain `usleep` from NSH before #20173 and not after it (see #16829).
