daniel-p-carvalho opened a new pull request, #3934:
URL: https://github.com/apache/nuttx-apps/pull/3934

   ## Summary

   * testing/drivers/taskwdt: add the cases latestop, latev and latestart to
taskwdt_test.

A task that is late by less than the keepalive interval must not escape the
supervision by changing its channel before the monitor notices it. The new
cases wait a little more than the channel timeout and then call WDIOC_STOP,
write a 'V' or call WDIOC_START. Like the late case, each must end in a reset.

They cover the review of apache/nuttx#20782, where an expired channel is
kept unchanged by these operations.

   ## Impact

Test application only, no change to any other code. The cases are listed by
"taskwdt_test" without arguments.

   ## Testing

   Host: Ubuntu, GCC.
   * sim:taskmonitor (with apache/nuttx#20782): the three new cases end in a
watchdog reset, as do late, starve, exit, kill, two; feed, write, disarm, stop,
status, errors and multi print PASS.
   * ev49n51a (PIC32MZ-W1, hardware watchdog): latestop, latev and latestart
end in a watchdog reset ("Last reset was caused by the watchdog" in the next
boot).
   * tools/checkpatch.sh passes.
