What I plan to do would enable to remove the kernel side implementations of atexit and on_exit, i.e. - sched/task/task_onexit.c - sched/task/task_atexit.c - sched/task/task_exithook.c / nxtask_atexit() and nxtask_onexit() Are there objections from e.g. from @patacongo for doing this ? This libc implementation would then replace the old kernel side implementation entirely.
