Does anyone have a problem if i commit the above structure change before I then
begin to merge in my work on the tests. I am nearly finished the tests but
realized that a HUGE patch is not the way to go with this. Please see my thread

Once we begin to commit patches to address this issue, it is going to seem like
it is getting worse before it is getting better.
If you guys want I can put a review board for these initial proposed changes as
they also contain fixes for OODT-688 and OODT-691
