Lewis John McGibbney commented on OODT-658:
-------------------------------------------

Yeah. I found a bunch of time this weekend to drive Gora 0.6.1 towards a
release. The RC will be prepared by mid week.
At that stage I am going to hammer this task and finally sort it out.
Unfortunately I have not fully implemented the Gora-Lucene module so we
cannot @deprecate the Existing Lucene catalog implementation in OODT
replacing it with GoraCatalog, however we do support Solr 4.10.4 (iirc) and
the remaining backends in Gora so we are Good on those fronts.
I can write the OODT Catalog functions once we release Gora 0.6.1. Renato
and myself are currently rewriting Gora-cassandra with the DataStax Java
Driver. When that is complete we will again support nested complex
structures in Gora-cassandra. I'll be looking forward to this.
Will post a patch here by end of week with Catalog abstractions via Gora.

> As a framework, Apache Gora [0] provides an in-memory data model and
> persistence for big data. It is my goal to build it in to the filemgr
> component of OODT in the very near future. I will begin work on this now.
