But let's get back to the main topic of the issue. I still think that the testing of `if-none-match` on `stat` and `read` should be initiated from the client side and checked for the 304 status code. Just like the test of override-content-disposition. Because it's for cache control, not for conditionally performing an operation based on the resource's current version on the server.
