Addendum: Skype resizing does indeed become slow when I load 6 months of chat
history. I like their concept of having a button to download further history:
it solves the problem with a reasonable compromise. We could do the same:
Re-initializing the chat box will load only the last 10 (or so) chat items, but
you can request the rest from the server if you so fancy.
