I think the code needs a little cleanup:
the only field affected by your code is username, so I see no need to
copy/paste the whole "invitationManager.addInvitationLink ......" block
something like:
String username = to != null ? to.getFirstname() + " " + to.getLastname() : "";
should be enough
Please attach the patch since it is easier to review :)
