Please try 3.0.2 RC1 (currently is being voted)

Additionally you can try to:
modify webapps/openmeetings/WEB-INF/web.xml
change
<param-value>DEPLOYMENT</param-value>
to be
<param-value>DEVELOPMENT</param-value>
and check what operation took all the time
aditionally
Please check download speed of *swf files
