HEY! I FOUND IT!
The Flashplayer seems to save its settings and intermediate files under
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player. Especially,
depending on how old our user profiles are (when was the profile created on the
machine, how many flash player updates have been done up to know since profile
creation, etc.), this folder seems to be some kind of messed up. So, that was
the reason why some people had those problems and some didn't as we noticed
later. I didn't know about this folder and found it by accident. After I
completely removed it, restarted the browser - voila! everything's working fine
now!
And I love it ;-)
