I thought these had been addressed by looking at previous bug/feature reports,
but running the latest version this looks to still be present

As per the image the last name is still reporting a "null" message in the chat
when no last name was given in the profile section. As well the chat is not
scrolling when new message where sent and the return is still mapped to a
carriage return and not to send message.
