Aaron Hepp created OPENMEETINGS-1891:
----------------------------------------

Summary: Change default mapping of Return key for chat
                 Key: OPENMEETINGS-1891
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-1891
             Project: Openmeetings
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: HTML5/Chat
    Affects Versions: 4.0.5
         Environment: UBUNTU 16.04 VM
            Reporter: Aaron Hepp
            Assignee: Maxim Solodovnik
         Attachments: chrome.PNG, firefox.PNG

Currently the default mapping when you hit the Return key in the chat triggers
CRTL + Enter (new line).  When new users enter it is hard for the
admin/instructor to have to stop to tell users they need to click on the "5
lines" then click the 1st button to be able to respond.
This may not be as relevant but the "click enter" button is almost hidden in
the web browser (see attached) so users do not notice they can click on that to
send the message.

Since the chat is used for short communications (1 or 2 sentence versus
paragraph responses) it would make it more compatible to have the default to
map the Return key to Enter instead of CTRL+Enter
