Jorge Alberto Londoño Giraldo created OPENMEETINGS-2417:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Video recording locally
Key: OPENMEETINGS-2417
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-2417
Project: Openmeetings
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Jorge Alberto Londoño Giraldo
Assignee: Maxim Solodovnik
Hello, I have been testing other platforms and there is one called Learncube, I
think it has something that could be applied to openmeetings and that is that
the recording is done by the user locally and there is a file in video.web
format.
I say this because I believe that in countries like mine (Colombia) in cities
that are not the main ones, the bandwidth is low, therefore making the
recording locally frees the bandwidth used for the transmission of the
recording to the server. It would also free up a lot of space on the server.
That platform has a plugin for Google Chrome. This also avoids the problems of
recording failure due to small disconnections.
