Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2697:
------------------------------------------------
How about adding a configuration so that you can optionally change the
behaviour?
Cause I think this chat is the only place where you can see users of other
groups. Which I think is right. You should be able to contact, invite or access
users in other groups.
> Global chat should not show messages from users that are not in your group

> When posting a message in the global chat with user1 that is only member of
> group1, and then logging in with user2 that is only member of group2 then you
> should not see user1 messages in the group chat. (Global chat is the chat on
> the dashboard)
> This is not consistent to other parts of OpenMeetings. User1 and user2 are
> not be able to search/find each other when searching for users when using
> other parts of OpenMeetings (Private messages, Calendar, other parts of
> OpenMeetings)
> Otherwise you can't separated groups. Via the global chat you can add users
> across groups that should not see each other.
