mcvsubbu opened a new issue #3892: Introduce new counters in hadoop jobs URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-pinot/issues/3892 We should introduce counters for various types of errors encountered, so that we can bubble up the right diagnostic message to a user looking at logs via an execution service such as Azkaban. Alternatively we can pipe the error messages to some standard location in hdfs and read that file upon a job failure.
