In the end ingestion means moving data from one system into Pinot. Real-time, Batch etc are different ways of ingesting data. See Azure docs for e.g. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-explorer/ingest-data-overview So, is the intent to move realtime "ingestion" code/API into this folder at some point? Or, do you want to rename the folder as pinot-batch-ingestion?
