Confluent Protobuf currently pulls Wire 5.5.0, which is affected by CVE-2026-45799 and CVE-2026-63126. Manage `wire-schema-jvm` and `wire-runtime-jvm` together at 6.4.5 in the OSS parent so schema parsing and runtime APIs remain aligned. Confluent and Kafka versions remain unchanged. Validated with the Maven wrapper and JDK 25: root formatting, Checkstyle, license and validation; 173 existing tests, including the Confluent Kafka/schema-registry fixtures; and the resolved dependency graph. No tests or benchmarks were added. A strict Snyk CLI scan of the Confluent Protobuf module resolves both Wire artifacts at 6.4.5 and reports neither Wire CVE. It still fails on the separate existing Ant 1.10.15 finding through Groovy (`CVE-2026-78254`); no ignores or severity filters were used. Hosted CI and Maven publication remain separate. Reproduce Wire selection with `./mvnw -pl pinot-plugins/pinot-input-format/pinot-confluent-protobuf dependency:tree -Dincludes=com.squareup.wire`.
