It is rebased on current master (head `794cc3755e`). **Addressed in this PR** - @gortiz: [1]-[9], [11]-[14], and [15] parts 1 and 3. - @Jackie-Jiang: doc IDs copied across runs, schema-mismatch errors kept in the final response, run boundaries on the whole sort prefix, lazy run heap bounded by the remaining limit, consumer CPU and allocation stats summed across blocks, stop at the global limit, full-plan tests. **Moved to follow-ups** (under #18667) - #19923 (leaf): batch small runs before the payload fetch, shared projection helper, reverse-scan guarantee, DESC null-handling bitmap cost. - #19924 (combine): lifecycle base class without workers, bulk run copy, activated-segment stat, zero-match schema, bounded live heap ([10]), AUTO heuristic and block-size sweep ([15] part 2). - `Operator.nextBlock()` contract Javadoc: separate PR. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
