Backports #19900 to `release-1.6.0-rc` so Pinot 1.6.0 can serve as the rollback target for a later Lucene upgrade. Incompatible text and HNSW indexes are rebuilt from retained original forward values; missing recovery sources fail before replacing the original index. Lucene remains 9.12.0. The only branch adaptation adds two imports in `SegmentPreProcessor`; the upstream regression tests and fixture are retained. Validation: 120 focused rollback, index-handler, preprocessor and reload tests passed with no failures or skips. Affected formatting, Checkstyle and license checks passed. Normal JDK 25 reactor compilation passed; enabling additional deprecation diagnostics hits an existing zstd-jni provided-annotation issue in unchanged code. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
