Servers automatically create a missing instance data directory, which can let startup proceed before external disk preparation completes. Add `pinot.server.instance.dataDir.createIfMissing`, defaulting to `true` so existing deployments keep the current behavior. Setting it to `false` fails server startup when the data directory is missing, before the server joins Helix or serves queries. Disk preparation should create the data directory after mounting. This option checks directory existence and keeps the existing writability check; it does not verify that the intended disk is mounted. Validation with JDK 25: - `HelixInstanceDataManagerTest` and `HelixInstanceDataManagerConfigTest`: 11 tests passed. - `spotless:apply`, `license:format`, `checkstyle:check`, and `license:check` passed on `pinot-spi`, `pinot-server`, and `pinot-tools`. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
